Any old version of Snes9x that doesn't require me to download a million .dll's?

Pretty much the newest version wants me to download quite a few .dll files. I'd like to find a version that doesn't.

Is it safe to assume that you are talking about the PC version of the emulator, since, you know, SNES9x has been ported to, well, everything.

Just asking since you posted in the Nintendo section vs the PC section or something like that.

Ah yeah sorry. I meant the PC version. Force of habit to post in the Nintendo section if it's somewhat Nintendo related, though i should of put this in the PC section >.>

and one of the .dll's error you get? did it happen when you try to run the emulator?

    Anyway, try this one.

Or just use ZSNES. That doesn't have DLL issues.

Pretty much it wants to download a ton of .dll's, apparently they're dx9 dll's or something, i'm running DX11 so no clue wtf.

Can't, i have to use snes9x, i tried running star ocean on zsnes and it runs way too fast in battle, while snes9x doesn't, so i gotta use it

I've never had issues with that. Check your settings, and limit the FPS.

i don't think i can limit fps on zsnes

Try Auto Frame Rate under Options.

Hmm, do you have version 1.51 of zsnes? There doesn't seem to be an auto frame rate in options

It should be on Config -> Speed.

Just looked, Auto Frame Rate is already checked

Then the game should runs normally, unless you want to speed it up.

Except that the game isn't running normally, the battles run way too fast then they should, already tried it in snes9x and they go like they're suppose to in there. A lot of people seem to have problems with Star Ocean and zsnes with the battles going too fast

I don't like ZSNES much. It has odd issues with a lot of games that SNES9x runs perfectly, or at least much, much better.

Well then it looks like you're going to have to download all of the DLLs...

It seems that there is no solution for running it on zsnes. And it seems that you're the only one experiencing DLL issues with snes9x.

Well seeing how it was less than 4 hours ago, I'm not that far behind, and there is no confirmation from him on this thread saying that he got it to work.

@Sylar: Did you even bother looking in the support thread over at snes9x's site? :p

Had you did, you would've read my post there about those .dlls that was needed:

For the most part you need to update Directx 9 to get stuff like xaudio.
