i do a little, but rather hate it. i hold nothing against the game itself, but instead it's the players. they are too dang serious, and restrict the game to the point that theres really not a lot of playability left, with their banlists, skill restrictions, and whatnots.
alot of people do play DOTA here.... it's so annoying, they are only good in Dota, in RTS, they suck....big time.... they usually die from me before the 2 minute mark...
Well, you're going to suck at both if you don't actually play the WC3 RTS/ suck at it. Seriously, no "good" player sucks at one and excels at the other, as the skills you need in both are almost the same. It's just that the RTS is focused on micromanagement, and DotA not as much. Back to the main point, I played in private channels/ inhouse games (Clan TDA channel) and my experiences have generally been great. Except for the mass noobs/leavers/griefers arriving at some point I had a blast with my clan. That being said, the banlists, restrictions, bots, whiners have become a big problem lately. Everyone at the DotA forums seems to revolve around "BAN THIS!" or "SHITLIST HIM!" or the frequent "NERF THESE ITEMS/SKILLS/HEROES!", etc.
yeah sometimes the game gets very competetive but i just play for fun its really fun when there are no whiners and leavers and stuff
i only know how to use the goblin techies lol... learned his skills, strangely, from playing too much battletanks ;D
i see, i see... maybe i should consider trying him some time, although i will probably end up with using techies again cause i can't seem to learn new strategies lol
I play Dota a lot, its quite fun when you play with with your friends. also, there are competitions/Tournaments of Dota world wide. And there are some rumors that it is going to be included in WCG...
go here http://forums.dota-allstars.com/index.php?showtopic=33844 and you can find all the strategy guides for every hero and lane controlling and stuff
i play dota too, on BoredAussie, its quite fun, even though you get the people who take the game way too seriously and the noob leavers and whatnot.
I just noticed that there's a facebook app that is called DotA. I never made the connection...until now.
