Well, a lot off games are very big, 128 or 200 something. Maybe we can make a section were you can upload trimmed versions of it? Cause when I tried to trim a game, it only was 5 mb smaller, so that didn't work..... Or a section with all the pre-patched versions of a game, for people who really can't patch (Like me, it really didn't work when I tried to patch a game) Just thinking
Well, if it's a big game, and it has a lot of junk data in it, it will compress very small in winrar/7zip. (ie - WarioWare DIY = 128mbs uncompressed/16.5mbs trimmed still gonna be 7mbs to download (compressed).) So, trimming the roms won't make much of a difference. It will be the same size as the untrimmed rom. Plus flashcarts like untrimmed roms better, but trimming only saves space when the files are uncompressed.
Then it is still illegal sharing them For example, I can upload all parts of the Sims 2 series if I want. BTW, the "Share" section is where you can share all your files.
That is considered warez and won't be hosted on RomU's mainsite or the forum. You can get a warning/ban if you post that. o-O (That's why I try not to break the rules.)
Yeah, I know, but the most of it are ds games. It would be handy though for pc games... Still weird Post Merge: [time]1272382005[/time] I also know, but maybe it was a little more legal (Or not)
It's still illegal, but riskier than some other games. I have seen many threads that are locked because someone posted warez. (ie - computer games) I'm sure Seph or Loony will confirm that the site doesn't host PC games.
Just upload your stuff to a file sharing site such as MediaFire, and post a topic in the correct section.
- No posting of Warez/Serials/Cracks/keygens, or links to sites with said content. Do NOT ask for such things either. Repeated violations of this rule will lead to a permanent ban.
I think that posting computer games is against the rules. DOS Box games are considered warez. So are others. I just know on so many sites that they don't allow PC games to be posted.
Patched-version secton then? When I tried it, I had 4 users to help me, but I still couldn't do it myself....
Rudolph's patch: Drag 'n Drop the ROM on the EXE Other patches: Rename the ROM to a specific name and run the BAT.
Pst. Spoiler PM for tech help. This is a suggestion thread. The roms are ok to upload as I have done before many a-times before.
