This pop up has been popping up whislt here recently... "Authentication is required for http://www.tripletags.com" ...anyone know what this is-I know it's a scam or something I shouldn't click on...
Your's looks fancier than mine...maybe it's because I have a wii skin on firefox XD ...so I'm not the only one?
ANything we can do to remove it-for all we know some newb may enter thier password thinking it's needed... And if it's a scam type of ad-they'll have thier password
Its a gamer tag thing if I recall. I read something about that site messing up and now it pops up every time you load a page where someone with one of those is posting. Only real ways to fix it at the moment are to either add tripletags to your adblock or to just ignore the user that has it. =/ Its nothing dangerous though but I'd highly recommend against filling out the username and password regardless.
I don't use add block-if the ad's pay romU then I'd be happy to see-though this one is truly annoying... Hrm-I wonder where the password may end up... LOL-I went to the actual page-it asked again-ignored it-now it shows "403-forbidden" XD
I have noticed quite a few annoying ads myself when browsing here on a US ip. I will change the advertising back to the previous agency as soon as I get back from vacation.
I know exactly what this is. DO NOT WORRY its not an ad or anything that can harm your computer. Its to to with an embeded image(signature?) or other embeded content which is hosted on http://www.tripletags.com. However the host has put a .htaccess file which makes the page require a password to veiw. About htaccess To find out whats causing it just right click, veiw sources and search for http://www.tripletags.com
