Anime here, Manga there, J-Rock everywhere...

Ok, I figure most people got their own sources of where they go to download anime and manga and whatnot. For those who don't, I'll show you a better way than using slow ass torrents. Sure Torrents are effective, and probably more so than anything else, but sometimes they just aren't fast enough. Direct Download your anime. If you can do this, you can save hours of time. A good ad-free program for this is mIRC.

You can get anime from IRC channels. A good network to connect to is IRC Rizon. Its got low down-time and the serving of files is damn fast on most the major fansubbing channels. The fansubber groups, most of them can be found on Rizon, they are the people who embedded the subtitles to your fansubbed episodes.

It's true that you can find almost anything on IRC if you know where to look. Use a combination of search engines and basic knowledge.

check their sites to see what anime titles they have released and serve on their IRC through XDCC.
What you don't find on IRC you can get with a program called DC++ which is also direct downloading.

If all else fails use BitTorrent and the fansubbers list on baka-updates, google, and other databases to find what you want.

Anip Online Reading and StopTazmo... I am not sure if StopTazmo has a trojan popup but it has a similar advertising method, so keep your eye out. I would NOT reccomend viewing either of these sites in IE. They both batch advertise and seem to share the same partners. I really wouldn't fully trust either of these websites.

There is a site, I want to tell you about, ANIP Online. I also want to warn you about its darkside. It's got a load of Manga Scanlations, beware... It's reccomended that you view only under Firefox web browser with its pop-up blocker on... Theres some trojans that can pop-in to your computer if you use Internet Explorer. They force theirselves in as you browse and silent install without any warning, even if you don't click the ad at all. I found out because I was browsing with IE on my parents computer and had to suffer consequences. The ad itself is a blank box, and only appears on IE, if you try closing it, it just locks the browser and your computer up. DO NOT browse the site with IE.

((I've always hated IE but my parents think 'its the best' so I was forced to use it when my computer was down and they let me on theirs...))

The site has batch advertising, but apparently one of their advertisers is a malicious bastard. So keep your guard up, other than that its an awesome site. Here's the link:
