they wil replace it to another section ;) (technical help, site support).
    Everybody has this "problem".
I think you just can't use .gif extensions.

    well,
    you can,
    but it won't move :p

I had the same problem with my bunny DDR avatar.

    Weird thing is,
I think it worked a long time ago.. :/

    Maybe it's because your avatar's a PNG.

Or mine, it depends on how it was made.

My original attempt at re-sizing left the correct size, but wasn't animating...was 80kbs.

This current one is a totally new one, NOT a re-size, but unlike the resize it's 20kbs...

My advice is to make a totally new one but with parts from the old one, and get it's file size as small as possible...

Resized ones don't work, remade ones do work.

(Only exception was my "FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" avatar, but at 200kbs despite correct dimensions it was removed by mods...lags people apparently :( )

    no it's a GIF
how do I do that? I'm supposed to reanimate the whole avatar with the dimensions set to 96x96? I can't do that because I found it off the internet.

...I dunno, make a new one?

    Mine was custom made.

    No, I'm pretty sure it's a PNG with dimensions 87 x 96, not a 96 x 96 GIF. ::)

The original was probably a a gif, but for some reason the forum software decides to convert it. What doesn't make sense is that it has the dimensions 87x96.

I'm having the exact same issue. None of the GIFs I'm uploading are working correctly. All of my GIFs are actually GIFs and are the correct size.

The forum appears to be freaking out.

Edit: Well, my Cactuar avatar is loading up properly, and that's about it.

You may have to compress them.

An avatar over 1 mb sounds a bit insane to me.

an avatar over 100kB is too big. Even 100kB is pushing it

    Compressing doesn't work.

My tip-like I said my original avatar (this one) wouldn't work after converting (it was 88kbs).

A totally new one but with only 20kbs size did the trick.

Make a totally new one, and it would work if exact dimensions as romU needs.
