Anyone used any emulators on their android phones? Ive just ordered a phone and gaming is one of my priorities, just wondering how they run, ones to avoid/get etc. So far ive found emulators for psx, n64, snes, nes, megadrive, gba, gbc and amiga.
TigerNES works alright for a NES emulator. Sound is a bit crap though. I pray to god you didn't get an android phone specifically for gaming.
I do all my serious gaming at home but it would be nice to play decent games at work, are android rubbish at emulation? Ive found all those free, do they work ok? The snes one is the one im mainly wanting.
I wouldn't know a good one from a bad one, its all new to me, old people and technology don't mix Has anyone used the psx emulator?
not yet. But I don't think it will work on my phone. Even gba lags sometimes. What phone did you order?
you need phones like xperia for that. Android and smartphones grow really fast. yeah you will be able to play gba/nes/snes/gb/gbc without lags. N64 and psx lags though
Do note that more and more "THD" or similar games coming out. THD meaning games that only support phones with NVidia Tegra 2 graphics. Simply put, really high end phones like the Galaxy S II.
That's a really decent phone, around the same specs as mine. I haven't tried the PSX emulator yet but Gameboid, GBCoid and SNESoid are working for me without any problems whatsoever. PSX emulation would probably suffer, but not as badly as most.
The psx emulator is the only one I have to pay for, but its only like £4, It doesn't really matter if it doesn't work well I suppose. Good to know I can play the others ok though, thanks for all your replies.
I'm using a Huawei U8500 original with android 2.2.2 froyo and runs at 122 MHz min and 600MHz max. Emulator that work for me are ataroid, nesoid, snesoid, gbcoid, gameboid, gearoid, gensoid, genesis a.d, fpse, tiger Psx, UAE4Droid, jbed java emulator and Sneslator. Sadly all Nintendo 64 emulators don' work, he he he...
