Analog controller in ePSXe

    How can the Analog controller be activated and configured in order to use it? Do I need to have an actual controller for my PC? If so must it be a PS2 shaped controller? Can I use the keyboard to somehow play with the analog?

    Trying to play Ape Escape on PSX but its an Analog only game.

    I believe it can be configured to use the keyboard instead, it isn't by default. check the ePSXe input plugin configuration.

    If i get what your saying you go Config -> Game pad -> Port 1 -> Pad 1. Then at the top right you can select DualShock or DualAnalog to use the analog. But i think you need a controller with a joystick because it dosn't have left, right up, down, only the Xaxis and Yaxis.

    Thanks. I found it but it wont set anything for the Analog buttons.

    Thats exactly what I found too but am not sure now if I HAVE to use a joystick or can I somehow set it to use the keyboard.

    Everywhere i checked it said you needed a joystick and i didn't find any plugins that could have helped either. Can't you set the controls in the options of the game?

    I tried but unfortunately its a game that only works with the analog turned on and you can only move your character with the analog stick. :(
