Am i doing something wrong?

Hello ;D,my name is Darkpaldin,I am a R4 (original) owner with V1.18 kernal and I need help.I keep on having to download patches and YSmenu patches just for Mario and Luigi BIS and they never work....And other people with R4's just like mine say it works :-\!
Am I doing something wrong ????
Please post if you have answers or have the same problem! Much appreciated!

 

Well, I'm not sure. When you patch the rom, what do you do? You need to give us a bit more detail.

 

Dude,Like every Patch i download does not work
i need a FULLY working patch for R4's
(if thats posible :-\)

 

Ysmenu is not a patch it is a emulated version of the DSTT card for R4 original

1. Download a unpatched version of Mario&luigi BIS https://www.romulation.org/NDS/4162_-_Mario_and_Luigi_Bowsers_Inside_Story_(U)(Xenophobia).rar.html/ , do not patch it!

2. Backup your games, then format your card by clicking left on the letter drive your microsd card is using and format in fat32, this will wipe your micro sdcard clean

3. Download R4 Firmware v1.18 + YSMenu updated 16/11/2009

4. Put your games in NDS Games folder

5. Place in ds and run, when you see ysmenu.nds boot that and then your Mario&luigi BIS game after

This has both version kernals, YSMenu and kernal v1.18

So games that don't work with kernal v1,18 will work with ysmenu and vice verier

And yes i dose work for me with ysmenu

I do quote "Do not patch game with ysmenu" and your game will work with R4 original...

for r4 they made a special patch for it I'll upload the file to my

Put the file in your root of your SD card then put your DS on
and go to your game menu and select the file (DS_PATCH.NDS)

the file will load and your game menu will be the same as always butt now select the game
Mario and Luigi BIS and playthe game

 

Where did you fined this patch?, Shame about the jap lag though..

No go with mario&luigi BIS (U), but it might be the version i have

I see it mabe for hdsc cards!

 

this patch was a part of R4 SDHC kernel V1.26

if you download that kernel the patch is among the files

Thanks mate chears... It kined of dose work with the original R4 but not quite as the games will not run well... as its meant for R4 SDHC cards

 

Oh-no! I'm up to giant bowser and every time i clear the minigame (at the EXP flag display)it makes a sound and it wont stop! any solutions?

Backup your original save, Just rename .sav file to your rom name and replace it, both rom and save has to match name

Savegame to convert: locate on your hard drive

Source format action replay max .duc
Target format R4 .sav

No! I renamed the converted sav as the Game and even though it dosent come up with a message "There Is no Sav" The profile isn't there

 

The 8k save dose not work, mabe corrupt... try any of the 256k saves

On the over had mabe the 8k was a no$gba save
