    does it work on my dsi 1.4a wth acekard 2i?

    The Acekard2i DSi 1.4 fix is separate from the Firmware files. It is an update that you run which changes the internal portion of the Acekard.

    Once you have updated the Acekard2i to work with the DSi 1.4, you can put what ever firmware, official or AKAIO, and it will work.

    You don't have to. You can use the Acekard firmware or AKAIO. Or both, apparently, with some Loaders (I don't know the details).

    The 1.4 fix is separate from the firmware, once fixed you can run any firmware you wish.
