AKAIO v1.8.1 & system updates

Now that AKAIO v1.8.1 has come out, is it safe to update the DSi firmware/OS/whatever software? I wanna be safe, than sorry.

 

acekard only supports to 1.4.1 dsi firmware. but i dont think there is any higher so far

 

yeah, every time I try to buy stuff at the store, it says I need to do an update, so I thought I would ask before I did the download.

The 1.8.1 firmware has nothing to do with being able to play your AK2i on a DSi with 1.4.1 firmware.

You need to update the firmware on the card itself, not the OS to get past the new AP.

 

Thanks everyone for the info. Someone on the gbatemp website said I couldn't update the DSi software without blocking AK2i software in the process, but I think that they misunderstood me.

 

yeah, because you need to update your card first, so it can work on firmware 1.4.1, and then you can update your dsi to 1.4.1. just check the link i sent you and you will be fine
