akaio v 1.5

Hi all,can someone please link me to a good clean version of akaio 1.5 for my acekard 2i i have given up looking on the web i downloaded a version called( jasons set up akaio v1.5 )from filetrip but its got so many files in it it confuses me ........to be honest thats not hard but i would still appreciate a good link thanks and happy new year.

I'll explain the file structer as well, have an empty SD card for easy use, then add games/sav files later anywhere other than inside the following.

-akmenu.nds

-_aio folder

With those 2 just inside a balnk sd (and the including files as they are in the folder...) it should work.

 

If you need help still, here it is:


First you will need to decide what firmware you will be using. There are two firmwares to choose from. The official firmware and the unofficial firmware which is supposedly better then the official firmware. I recommend that you download both and see which one works for you. Both of them can be downloaded here:http://www.acekard.com/download.php

Once you have downloaded your firmware of choice you will need to format your MicroSD card. Before you do that you will have to backup you MicroSD to make sure nothing important is lost when you format you MircoSD. Formatting can be done to ways. The easier and less effective way of the harder and fully effective way. The easier way is done like this:

-Go to "My Computer"
-Right-Click on the icon that is your MicroSD and click"Format"


The harder and more reliable way can be completed like this:
-Download the "Panasonic Card Formatter" here:http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/sd_formatter.html
-Run the program and format your MircoSD inside the program.

Once your MicroSD is formatted go to the .ZIP folder you downloaded before. Extract or unzip the folder to a new folder elsewhere on you PC. Once you have done that you will need to go to the folder where you extracted the files to. Now there should be a file named ak_menu.nds or something like that and a folder named _aio*. Once you have found them minimize that window. In a new window open your MircoSD, and put the _aio* folder and the ak_menu.nds file in the root ,or base, of you MicroSD card.

Your AK2i is now ready to run! I suggest you make separate folders to organize your movies, music and games. Enjoy!


IF YOU HAVE A DSi RUNNING 1.4 FIRMWARE KEEP READING!!!

Nintendo's latest DSi firmware, 1.4 , is anti-flashcart. To fix this problem on you AK2i you will need the following things:
-A DS or a DSi that is running a firmware lower than 1.4
-This update file:AK21 Update

Once you download extract the files to a folder elsewhere on your computer. Once you extracted the file you should see two files. One that has "DSi" in it and the other says "DSL". If you are using a DSL to update you AK2i then put the "DSL.nds" in your games foder on your MicroSD. Once you have done that put the AK2i in you DSL and play the ".NDS" file like you would any other game. If you are using a DSi to update you AK2i the do the same thing but do it with the "DSi.nds" file.

Once you have run the update the AK2i should run on you DSi. PM me with any questions.

*If you have any games from your old MircoSD before you formatted it now is the time you put the important files back on.

 

Wow. This is perfect for me. I'm still waiting for my acekard to come in but it's good to have everything set. At lease here I didn't have to go searching for hours lol.

Acekard's official site http://www.acekard.com/ if you click on downloads tab at top has the links for Akaio 1.5 and the Ak2loader.

It's super easy to do... you extract AKaio 1.5 to your card... (the _aio folder and the ak2menu.nds)...
then in the _aio/loaders folder you extract the Ak2loader file replacing the old one... that's it.

Install skins to _aio/ui if you wish... and make a folder for your games in the root of your card. It's that simple... really

Edit: Before doing any of that make sure your card is formatted

 

I just got my AceKard, and I followed all the steps but the dsi is still giving me an error. so we download akaio 1.5 extract, drag aio folder and akmenu4.nds to the micro sd card... but its still giving me an error. any suggestions? and also, the previous post, why do we need a new loader file?

 

What firmware is your DSi running? If its running 1.4 you need to follow my addition instructions.

uhh, i just tried to open the website to download the update thing, seems there is a virus/ trojan (good thing my antivirus thing got it!) on the file or the website... can you upload it again? on some other site or do you know where else we can download it?

And heres how to check the firm ware on you AK2i
-Turn the system on
-Go to "System Options"
-Look at the bottom right of the top screen

 

Okay, well my thing has a version of 1.4U. and I already downloaded the update thing, but the thing is: I can't run that program on the DSi. On the main menu part of the ds, if I click the AceKard button on the menu, I get some sort of system error with black screen.

 

Yeah, in order to run the update you will need a DS or a DSi thats running 1.3 or lower.

 

lol, that means that i need to find another ds to run the update??? thats wierd... but how would that help my machine to run the acekard?

 

Once you find another system and run the update on your AK2i then it will work with your DSi thats running 1.4.

 

yea u gotta put that file in your Acekard and run it on an old DS or DS lite then once it runs you can use it on your DSI... Instead of it saying Acekard it will have an icon like Danny Phantom game... basically it tricks your DSi to thinking it is an actual game and not a flash cart.
