AKAIO 1.6 RC2 not running roms

So I recently got an Acekard 2.1, I can load it up just fine but when I try to launch a game then there's a black screen with Loading... on it in blue then it turns to green and then it just freezes. I've waited 10 minutes and the game still didn't launch. Help plz?

 

Go to properties>help and copy what the HW ID is. You could have one from the bad batch - official Acekard team are working on a fix, which will then hopefully be in AKAIO. For the moment I believe the last AKAIO to work is 1.5, not 100% certain though.

Of course double check you've put the firmware on properly too, should be:

Akmenu4.nds
/__Aio

 

If the firmware wasn't installed properly I doubt it would even boot.

Did you download and put the latest loaders in the /_aio/loaders folder?

Try a clean install, backup everything and format the card using the panasonic SD formatter and reinstall the firmware.

 

onthe I already tried that and I did use the latest loaders.

But what is this I hear about a defective batch?

 

HW ID 80, defective batch. Check GBAtemp as well as official Acekard site for further details.

 

GBAtemp wiki says the only fix is to use Official Firmware 4.07, gonna try that.

EDIT: it seems to be working, haven't tried saving yet.
