http://www.tsa.gov/approach/tech/ait/index.shtm You might have heard on the news lately about people complaining at Body scans and pat-downs (holiday season). Its a toss-up, People want freedom, Government wants safety (and terrorists want to create panic and debt). What is your ideal? /debate and sway.
As long as it's not too invasive, I don't have a problem with being scanned. I don't particularly like the idea of being patted down, but I can see why it'd be advisable sometimes. With that said, I'd not like it to go so far as my luggage being rummaged through.
Yes, not really an issue for me either. Though, I can see why some people have issues with the scans and pat downs. They feel as if such scans be used for "malicious" intent. Or, that the people in charge of the scans will somehow do something with said pictures (even if the pictures are supposed to be deleted right after the scans) And the pat downs....well, you can see how some have a problem with that. I suppose people would like to be able to travel without feeling as if they are suspected, even for just a moment.
I rather be patted down and scanned than being being blown into a million pieces if they accidentally missed a bomb or three. That said, there were some folks on our local newspaper muttering about how they were being way too invasive and even checked people's veejayjay and stuff. Not that I honestly care. I still maintain that a little wasted dignity is little indeed, compared to the potential dangers that could come around these days. smuggled taebo tapes ohnoez
Its not an issue for me, I like been alive. Its not a waste of personal time either, get there 5 minutes earlier, thats all it takes to be searched.
um, question: Why would you put a bomb or three on yourself and have the TSA pat and scan you? Do you like being patted and scanned? Next time, don't put a bomb on yourself so you will not blow into a million pieces. You have some kind of fetish, don't you? I think its a waste of time to be patted down and scanned. The problem is if it was an inside job. Scanned or not, if you have an insider, terroristic plans will succeed. Just like in Air Force One, how could those terrorist get the guns even though they were scanned? Also, how about the clearance? I don't think they hacked that. Some insider placed those info and gave them clearance.
Why would you think I would put it on myself? What I meant is, let's say I board a plane. They don't do security checks. So this guy down the plane's got a bomb strapped to his chest, and he gets away with it because there's no scanning. Midway to Las Vegas, he pulls the pin and explodes. The plane spirals into the Moses's ex-miracle. I would be dead, ja?
I doubt thats gonna happen but its true military personnel dont get scanned for air force one. My friend stole some stuff off it whilst it was in the UK once.
First, we had the shoe bomber, and then everyone had to take off their shoes. Now it was the underwear bomber, and they want to know what you have under those undies. I hope we never get a terrorist that shoves a bomb up his rear, or you won't be able to fly unless you get probed for bombs.
Lol, i googled, and came up with the Trojan Bomber. Well, i guess it does prove the point that no amount of patting or dong viewing is going to stop terrorists from getting explosives onto a plane.
