Advice to Newbies or Noobs as you call it nowadays

Please don't just say "hi" "hello" on this forum.

Please make posts too on the various sections a good place to start is the "games & jokes" section you'll get a real hoot at all the fun topics there. Don't be scared that people might not like what you post, well some of us may do so but who cares!! Romulation is a real kewl place to be & making yourself heard is a good thing.

They really ought to remove this section entirely 'cause there's nothing really interesting in it. I think its better to just dive in on the other sections & let everyone get to know you by or rather based on what your opinions are.



OK you noobs, try posting on two of my latest topics "Etymolgy of Usernames & Avatars & Sigs: The Significance", those are two topics I started so you'll have a chance to better introduce yourselves. You can find them both in the "General Discussions" section, enjoy!!

P.S. I hope the admins consider sticky tacking this post so the newbies can easily get to it 'cause they really should get more involved on the forum. So they can better express themselves, afterall RomUlation is totally THE BEST games site EVER & also the most accomodating & the Hippest hang out EVER!!!

 

Heh, you're advertising both your posts. Most people who say hi here don't say anything afterwards and do not even become a part of the community because all most of them are here for are the ROMs and ISOs. And it's just "stickying", not "sticky tacking".

 

Did it sound like I was advertising posts? All I wanted was to give these newbies something more to do than just introducing themselves here, after all there are really alot of good topics one can post in on the forum. And I did said first that they should "first visit the games & jokes section 'cause there are alot of fun topics there"

Also wouldn't it be better if people registering on the site do more than just download games? What if someday the downloads get removed again? The site shouldn't be just all about downloads it should also be a place where gamers can hang out, if only in a "virtual" environment though.
