Hi all, My first post here and I'm after some help being a novice with all this. I've just got a DSi XL and want to ask; 1) Which is the best R4 card I can get for the DSi? 2) We have a DS Lite that has an R4 card in, can I use the 2GB SD card in the new R4 for the DSi? 3) Can the R4 card for the DSi be supplied with the required software already loaded, if not where do I go to get it? 4) Where is the best place to buy the R4 card with a fast turn around? I remember having loads of trouble with a company called ConsoleUP many moons ago!! A lot of questions I know, but I appreciate the help and your answers. Thanks all
best cart is not an R4. It's either an acekart 2i or a supercard DSTwo. R4s should be avoided at all costs these days. Yes you will be able to reuse your microsd, you will need to wipe the current firmware off of it and put on the new cart's firmware. No, the card will not come with the firmware already on it, because the firmware is stored on the microsd card. It may, however, come with an update for DSi 1.4.1 or 1.4.2 already applied. If not, you will need to use your DS Lite to apply the update to the cart.
Admin, Many thanks for the help. I've gone for the Acekard 2i from Xpertron.co.uk. Looking at the their discussions section the cart comes with full instructions. Hopefully all should go ok when it arrives but i'll be sure to post on here for advice if I need help. Cheers again
