I don't know if you guys will accept this idea but anyway let's see. ^^ I was thinking that you guys might add an advertising section where members can advertise their own sites, but not instantly thou. They must meet some conditions first , like having an X number of posts or points or downloads or something. Here is an example: - You can advertise your site when you have at least 50 posts or 1000 points - You cannot advertise sites that contain pornografic material. - You cannot advertise sites containing software with cra*ks or such. In other words, NO WAREZ. - If you advertise but have not met the requirements, you will be given a WARNING and your post shall be deleted. - At 3 warnings recieved you shall be BANNED for 90 days. (not necesarilly =3 ) - Do not post any site containing any ilegal material of any kind. (except roms that is XD, ummm...I mean...which are NOT illegal) All general forum rules apply here. So no spamming, flamming, double posting etc. What do you think of this idea mr. Admin or Moderator ?
I think it would encourage spam from people who have no real intention of being here after they've advertised their site. I think users would break the rules constantly. And finally I think that it would annoy me somewhat. So I'm not really seeing this happening.
Kudos on taking the time to ask and layout an agenda. Even though you got shot down, you demonstrated an innate ability to present a logical article, in a timely fashion, and also showed examples in doing so. But he is right, the majority would just get the plug they wanted, or run a pyramid to increase the number of ads. Sites are only as good as the community they run on, and the people working behind the scenes. Your site, Rock, I do believe will flourish under your leadership.
not exactly. The users for example would have to make 100 posts ''for example''. But untill they reach that number of posts, they will already be caught by the comunity and continue exploring romulation even more thus making more members. Do you feel me ?
Doesn't work. I'm a good example, just having a high post count doesn't mean they would do things right, for all we know the user may be constantly posting and while they may reach the required number, they may not have the actual experience. I'd say 10,000 would be ideal, and I'm not quite there yet despite being known to post everywhere.
