Advance Wars: Black Hole Rising Startup Error

Whenever I load the ROM, it goes fine until the start-up screen. I press start, but every time I've done this, it freezes and a blaring buzzer-like sound rings and the intro starts all over again. I've downloaded the ROM from many different sources all with the same problem. I use VisualBoyAdvance version 1.8.0-beta. Any suggestions or a link to a working ROM?

 

Use no$gba 2.6 instead and see if that helps, it's better.

 

No$gba is mostly for DS ROMs nowadays, but it's worth a try.
And use the 2.6a by the way, not the 2.6.

 

That does play gba games, I tried a few.


And there is a 2.6, 2.6a requires donations..I do not endorse trying to find a free copy of it

You can find it either from common issue or from Galih sig.

I recommend use GBA games on GBA emulator, and use NDS games on NDS emulator.
To OP, try to redownload VBA again.

Just about every other game works on VBA.
