adobe changing files

    Whenever I Download a file, adobe will open it immediately and format it so that i can't save it to my desktop as just a .rar . Is there a way to stop adobe from opening the files after they are downloaded.

    adobe should not be associating with .rar files; you need to go into your browser configuration and tell it to force download those files. Tell us what browser you are using so we can help you further.

    Shift + click on the link may also help.

    in Firefox go to 'tools', then 'options', change to the 'content' tab. In the 'filetypes' setting, click 'manage' then find '.rar' in the list. Select it and click 'change action' then select 'Save them on my computer'. MAke sure you have winrar, if you do, reinstall it to stop acrobat trying to open it.

    okay so i got my first problem figured out thank you you guys but now when i run the files in visual boy all i get is a white screen in the program could running this on vista be a problem?

    did you extract the rom from the rar file?

    Yes when i load then in VBA it just says loaded battery and goes to a white screen
