This topic is connected to: PSP 1000-2006 Hacking [TUTORIAL] The following is a tutorial for using prx/plugins on your hacked PSP- We will be using the following to help us understand how it is done: CXMB- Allows the use of Custom Themes [the version being used is made to work with 5.50GEN-D's & Prometheus, it may also work on other/future CFW releases] CWCHEAT- Allows you to use cheats on your PSP There are many more, but I will only cover these 2 to get you started... Before we begin: 1.Plug your PSP into your PC 2.There should be a folder named "SEPLUGINS" on the root of your PSP, click on it. 3.Make a new text file (txt) inside and name it: VSH 4.Inside the text file VSH, type in: ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx *By doing this, the PSP will now know where to find the plugins when you try to enable them. CXMB We will be using the theme that comes inside as an example aswell. *It is for 5.50 (download a ctf theme for your version, if you have an older/newer one) For preview of theme click here 1.Download CXMB from above. 2.Drag and drop the CXMB folder inside the root of your memory card 3.Copy the 'Serenity550.ctf' theme into your THEME folder under: PSP->THEME 4.Unplug PSP from PC 5.Shut down your PSP completely (Hold the Power button up until it turns off) 6.Turn it on while holding the R trigger on your PSP. You should get the following menu, also known as the 'VSH Recovery Menu' 7.Go to where it says Plugins-> 8.Enable the Plugin cxmb.prx by clicking (X) on it 9.Go to 'Back' and then 'Exit' 10.Your PSP will now have the 'serenity550' theme! NOTE: If you go to the theme tab on your PSP, you can manage all your custom ctf themes. You can disable the custom theme option by uncheking (DISABLED) the PRX in the Recovery Menu (Steps 5-6) CWCHEAT 1.Click on the link above and download the latest CWCHEAT 2.Also, download the Cheat Database (It should be a single file, named cheat) 3.Now open up the RAR file and drag out the folder named INSTALL 4.Open the folder INSTALL and drag out the following 5.Copy the files to your PSP under seplugins 6.Go inside the cwcheat folder on your PSP and replace (overwrite) the old cheat file with the newer one 7.Unplug PSP from PC 8.Shut down your PSP completely (Hold the Power button up until it turns off) 9.Turn it on while holding the R trigger on your PSP. You should get the following menu, also known as the 'VSH Recovery Menu' 10.Go to where it says Plugins-> 11.Enable the Plugin's: cwcheat.prx & cwcheatpops.prx 12.Run a game 13.Let your game load a bit 14.Press and hold the SELECT button on your PSP for 4 seconds, you should get this menu 15.Click on Select Cheats 16.Press X to enable the cheats you want (don't enable too many) 17.Press O and click on [N] Enable Cheats (it should have a [Y] now) 18.Press O and have fun!!! NOTE: The Cheat Database is updated with new cheat codes about every month (or week) To be able to play the new cheats, simply overwrite the existing cheat file that is in the cwcheat folder on your PSP NOTE: It is highly recommended that you not have more than 3-4 plugins enabled at a time... Basic Info: Usually when downloading a new prx file, you should get instructions, just type in the new line where told. [vsh, game, game150, pops and in some cases you must make other files] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do in fact use other plugins... such as other cheat devices like 'Free Cheat', but I feel that CWCheat is a much simpler cheating program. Although I realy like the extra feautures in FreeCheat I mainly use CWCheat for ma' cheats. There are also different types of cheats devices/plugins with different codes, and therefore there are allot of converters between all of them.
