Well i just ordered an R4 today and i should be getting it by wednesday. I was looking at the tutorial on how to add codes to the R4 and it looks pretty simple. It looks very similar to adding codes to an AR DS. Now my question is, Do AR DS codes work on the R4? Will any codes work, as long as they are for that game, and for that region? Yep. You'll need a tool called R4CCE. http://home.usay.jp/pc/soft_en.html And the cheat database containing AR cheats. http://cheats.gbatemp.net/ Download URSCHEAT and extract it. Open R4CCE.exe File>Open>URSCHEAT.DAT edit codes and games. READ IMPORTNAT NOTICE AND GBATEMP.
Thanks very much. Another question, lets say i get a code my friend made or something, would i be able to use it? Or can i only use codes from GBA temp?
You can still use it. File>Open>URSCHEAT.DAT Then you can add,remove ,delete games and codes at will. You better use YSmenu if you want to see all the cheats. Find the website and it'll tell you if you one is a clone or not.
cheat.gbatemp.net says it all. Click here to read if you use a R4DS or its clones. There is a problem with some flashcards such as the R4DS and all of its clones (M3 Simply, N5DS, ect) which limits the number of cheats that are displayed for games. This means that cheats for games that appear at the end of the cheat file are not displayed, this includes games for The World Ends With You, Yu-Gi-Oh, Trauma Center and others. You have four options, the first is to get a new flashcard, the second is to delete the games from the cheat file you don't plan to use, the third option is to move the games to the top of the list and the fourth option is to use an alternate firmware/loader for your flashcard such as YSMenu, AKAIO and so on.
