These groups piss me off. Seriously, I can tell that their whole speech is one big sales pitch and their only goal is to get me to sign up to become a "member," which, by the way, costs $25. Their signup sheet asked me for my full address, email, phone number, and of course, my first and last name. I'm very cautious when it comes to filling out personal information, so I put a ton of bullshit on there just to be safe. I wasn't going to hand over $25 there, and I wouldn't be mailing in the $25 when they send me their "magazine." The best way is to be untraceable. Do you think I did the right thing? At this point, I couldn't walk away, otherwise I would have done that.
Are you saying you filled out some form to join an activist group? Are you fucking stupid? Why bother filling anything out in the first place if you're just gonna give them BS info anyway? Activist groups are usually filled with ignorant nut jobs that don't really know anything. I know what you are now.
Not necessarily true, here activist groups are lead by leading figures of society like disgruntled governors or Mayors, University Professors, leaders of the labor unions etcetera. What I'm curious is why the one you (insanecrazy) joined up with are asking for money, it seems that might be a scam of some sort. Here, you can join activist groups for free, also activist groups are a known & recognized part of society, if they speak out against something going on in the government, workplace & even in the Academic field, people listen, & give support.
I sensed it was a scam, hence the bullshit. I can't just walk away from that (since I tried to). And technically, since it is complete bullshit, and none of my information is on there, I am not a member, therefore, I am not an ignorant nut job.
When you see an activist, YOU WALK AWAY! It doesn't matter even if he/she makes contact with you, you keep going and mind your own damn business. Do not even talk to them either. I can't stress this any further!
I hope I don't offend on this one, but there are two types of Activists. 1. Tree Hugging Hippie crap people, and 2. Socio-Economic-Political Activists - This one is more sensible & more worthwhile than the other, because these deals with important issues like how corrupt the system is or how unjust employers are to the labor force.
