I Bought my cousin an Acekard2i because her old DS broke and rendered her Cyclo kinda useless sadly. Got the card today and went to the site to download the firmware, got the normal FW AND the Akaio1.7 FW (i planned to use Akaio but got both just in case) So since she doesn't live with me i decided to try it on my DSi and i cleared and formatted the 2gb Sandisk mSD card, put the _aio folder and the akmenu4.nds file in the root directory for the card. Added a Games folder also in the Root then loading Mario64 into it. Took the card out, loaded it into the AK2i, slapped the bastard into my DSi and turned it on. It loaded fine and the icon for the card was there, but when i tried to load it the DS screens went black and said it had Error and to shut down the DSi. I Have 1.4u Firmware on my DSi and so does my cousin. Will this stop the card from working or is there something else i missed? Also if it is the DSi, is there anyway to format the DSi to reboot back to the original FW? Help is appreciated.
You need to update it to work on 1.4 DSi. - http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=174529 And for the latest AKAIO firmware to use on the AK2i - http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=38335.msg695431#msg695431
Thanks as always amigo! Took me a bit to realize i had to load it onto my DSlite to patch it, but once i did it worked great.
