Acekard question

I just bought Acekard 2.1i off of shoptemp. I chose not to buy the MicroSD but chose the service to flash it so it could work on the DSi 1.4. I dont need to buy the microSD for it to work on my DSi right? My Acekard will come in 2-5 weeks and wanted to know if AKAIO is worth it. I dont really care for WiFi i just want to play games on my DSi.

 

you will need a micro sd card, because where would you put the games??
any micro sd will work, I recommend a class 6

 

thats not why im trying to say.
I have a microSD at home with me. Im saying if i dont buy the microSD but get the flashing service would it be flashed and work on my DSi without me flashing it myself.

 

It should work for they have flashed it for you already.

 

Acekard 2.1 won't work in DSi

If i was to use AKAIO would i need the official firmware?

 

No
Just use AKAIO Firmware
Don't even bother using Official Firmware

 

you will still need the AK firmware to have the flash card work you will then add the Akaio firmware as well.

If they updated the card for you, then it should work on your DSI.

 

i am running AKAIO my my AK2i and i don't have the AK Firmware, and it runs fine......

 

So i dont need AK firmware just the AKAIO
also do i need to convert my saves? I used a R4i Ultra.

 

to me it seems AKAIO is compatible with most save types, so if it doesn't recognize them, just change the save type settings.
