Acekard 2i Update??

    My acekard has sadly died after the Exploit was accidentally erased due to age errors. On DS and DS Lite the ds freezes at "NINT" when i load the Acekard 2i on it, it is also unrecognizable on my DSi. If i buy a new Acekard (Which im planning) and run the current firmware update file (1.4.3) i think the old acekard will work as well.
    Has anybody had any experiences on a situation like this? I want to make sure that the old acekard will work before i make any hasty decisions.

    even if there is a suggestion to make the old one work its better to buy a new one that has better updates
