AceKard 2i update for 3DS 2.0.0-2 and NDSi v1.4.2 released

Acekard team finally released the updating patch for nintendo dsi v1.4.2 today, along with the fixes for nintendo 3ds....So far, r4i gold and acekard are the two flash cards confirmed to work on 3ds....and supercar dstwo, m3i zero are confirmed not working..

Here's the news from the AK team:

'AK2i update for 3DS2.0 and DSI1.4.2

This update support 3DS2.0 and DSi1.4.2. Please refer to readme file in the package. AK2i of HWID44 can be updated this time too. But AK2i of HWID44 can't be recognized after using power button to reset console. You need power off console and turn it on again.'

PS....lol im gettin me a 3DS too

went out a got one----6-10-11
all the upgrades are working on it after the ( E3 upgrade from june 7) e-shop..dsi transfers...etc...flawless excecution again---
i used dsl for the upgrade for my dsi...then d/l'ed the 3ds tranfer utility and moved all my dsiware to the 3ds
my 3ds rocks folks...
Follow all instructions as described in all documention...if your unsure then dont do it...(words of experience...lol)

 

Wooot, now I wish I didn't update my DSi to 1.4.2 so early now. Time to hunt down a friend's DS Lite. And in the future fuck updates till necessary.
Cause really I didn't need to update at all to play the games I wanted to. No online use either.

 

Not working on 3DS. At all. Just a black screen with "An error has occurred hold down on the power button"

 

So does this mean if I go and buy a 3ds tomorrow and update my acekard 2i, i can still play all my original ds games on it still, but not any 3ds as of yet?

 

@ rathexeron yes, all th 3ds flashcards on the market now support ds mode games only, which means you can play ds games on your 3ds console instead of 3ds games using these flashcards.
But I heard that the 3ds has been successfully jailbroken, the real 3ds flashcard might be available soon...

 

ty for the clarification, read a few posts and was a bit worried after seeing people mentioning flashcards bricking the 3ds, doubted they were true, but would rather not get one, try it and break the thing straight away

 

Thanks for your post,you have done a great job,and as far as i concered,the 3DS latest version has been to v2.1.0-2.....and supercard,Ak2i,r4i gold 3ds and R4I SDHC 3ds can work perfect on it....you can go to the offical site to download the new firmware...

The link does work, the problem is... Have you chosen the right console and right file while you update your Acekard ?
I mean, if you have not yet updated your 3DS to 2.0.0-2, you’re fine with the 3DS. However, if your 3DS is already updated you must borrow a DS/DSi. You can not update your Acekard 2i using a Nintendo 3DS console that is already using the 2.0.0-2 firmware.(similary, you should borrow a lower version DS/DSi if your DSi is already in 1.4.2) Then follow the steps to update your Acekard 2i

Step 1. Download the DSi 1.4.2 firmware update files from Acekard.com Downloads page (or simply from here http://www.acekard.com/download/ak2/ak2ifw_update_3ds_v2_DSi142.zip )

Step 2.Copy ak2ifw_update_3ds_v2_DSL.nds into the root of your SD card and run it . Make sure you have the console plugged in so there’s no chance of it turning off during the update (which could cause cards to malfunction!). Follow on-screen instructions carefully.

Step 3. Your Acekard 2i should now work with updated consoles. When in the DS console’s main menu, the title of the Acekard 2i’s box should be “Chessmaster”.
