Hi, wondered if anyone could give advice on which would be the best to purchase, had R4 in original DS for cpl of years, no probs at all, got daughters a DSi for xmas and a R4i Gold and have had nothing but probs,so am considering getting them another card, heard these two AceKard 2i and DsTwo are supposed to be good,, do you know if they have good software updates as daughters love Pokemon and could not get them to work at all on DSi, but ok on DS, Would be grateful for any advice, thanks

The AK2i is really good for NDS games itself, but the SCDSTwo offers more features than the AK2i does.
I have one on the way, so I don't know how it works. The AK2i is one of the best cards that I have ever had.

Thanks for your reply, have you tried any of the pokemon B/W Games with Acekard, I am only used to the original R4 as I have had no probs whatsoever with YSmenu installed, but daughters Dsi R4i Gold rubbish,

every game out so far is fixed on acekard using akaio, so yes, pokemon works on it.

If you want instant patches, the DSTWO is the way to go. However as fapa said AKAIO takes care of things soon enough.

The real selling point here is if you want to buy it just for DS games (Ak2i) or if you want to buy it For DS, GBA, SNES and soon, MAME games.(DSTWO)

and R4i gold is a fake so ya, it sux.

yes, it pretty much depends how much you are willing to py too. acekard 2i is 15$ while supercard dsrwo is 35$. but supercard has gba emulation and auto patching for nds games.

You can pretty much buy an R4 on Shoptemp for $6 and put Wood on it.
