Hello, I'm afraid my Acekard 2i messed up the content of my SD card (8gb and AKAIO 1.6). I went to launch Chrono Trigger DS and while loading, the screen went white. After about 2 minutes nothing had changed so I tried to soft reset, but sind it didn't work I had to power my DS down. Upon restarting the DS and starting the acekard menu, it said "Missing System File". When I inserted the SD card into my computer I saw the following mess: The directories can't be opened either. So what exactly happend here? Did some Anti Piracy in the game corrupt my SD card contents? Are they retrievable or are they lost? Hopefully someone knows of this problem. Thanks in advance, Kenny
I'm sorry but you have to format your MicroSD. I had that once and it helped. Use Panasonic Formatter.
So all my games and savegames are lost? That stinks. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply. Still, is the game responsible for this or what exactly happend?
Oh shit! That's a corruption. You'll have to format your card... But, there is a new AKAIO. - http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=38335.msg695431#msg695431 You could try a recovery program, but little luck may surface... No, it's not the game. Just a glitch in the AKAIO firmware probably. Do the update like I posted above.
Do you use the soft reset to go back to the list of games quickly and easily? In my experience, that will corrupt not only your games, but the save files and the actual firmware itself when using AKAIO. Good luck.
Wow, I did not know that. Ty for the warning. The L+R+Start+Select soft rest that takes you to the regular ds menu is safe, right?
Yes, it is. I have never encountered a firmware/game/save corruption at all with my AK2i and AKAIO. Both should be safe to do.
always be backing up your info, sd cards tend to corrupt, not always, but sometimes, so always keep a recent backup, like when adding a game to the card, backup
