I've been using my Acekard 2i for about 1½ weeks now using the official firmware 2.14 and noticed some games freeze when I try to save them (Korg DS-10, Pokemon Ranger, Mario and Luigi Partners in Time being a few). I've read the some these games should work fine on AKAIO instead of the official firmware but there will be other games that don't work on AKAIO. Then... Somewhere else I read that you can have AKAIO and the loaders from firmware 2.14 on your SD card (or something like that) and will get the best of both worlds but can't find twhere I read it now :'( So... Is there anyone who could clarify and possibly give me a little walkthrough of how install both (do I need to take all my ROMs and save data off to install AKAIO and will my save files work afterwards?). I had quite a bit of bother with just the official firmware because I'm not too good with these sorts of things Muchly appreciated if anyone can help
Preety easy. Get your akaio first, install as normal. The from the acekard site find the "akloader" file. Place that into the "loaders" directory in the _aio folder. Before when I done this, animal crossing didn't work, now it does

I've used AKIO from the day I got my Acekard 2i and I can play any game without problems I can update the firmwire by WIFI (without using my PC). and I use moonshell to watch anime or listen to music and everything works perfectly
It messed up again with me and I don't know how so I've ended up using 2 different microSD cards. Got AKAIO on my 8GB and the Official firmware on my 4 GB and if a ROM donesn't work on one... all I do is put it on the other and it's fine... less confusion this way for me seen as I suck at simple technology sometimes
Just so you know, the AKAIO firmware has the ability to load the games using the official firmware as well. That's what I did originally but for some reason it screwed up, guess I'm just thick when it comes to this stuff, so I decided to do the 2 MicroSD cards instead
If you screw your Firmwire (AKIO in this cause ) I usually do is I backup my games and gamesaves and music and anime and I reinstall the firmwire in this case it is AKIO.
