Hi.I'm thinking about using an acekard 2.Any volunteers want to share their exp using this brand? I tried to learn its compatibility via Scorpei.com but it seems that people there are more intrested in R4 compatibility rather than this one.Any opinion are much appreciated although i prefer opinion which come from the user of this brand itself rather than from those who just read any article without any real exp.Sorry if i post in wrong section. Thanks :)

I think its awesome. The AK2i I have works flawlessly, but you !~>have<~! to use AKAIO firmware to help it work better with more ROM compatibility and better AR code compatibility.

Actually, you can have BOTH fiurmware types running.

Install akio first, then grab the "ak loader" from the acekard site and ram that into the "akloader' folder.

If it fails in akio-you can use acekard :)

Best card to be honest , used one in the DSi and works great no issues . sadly my son broke is
dropped it or stood on it and it was replaced with the R4i and had a lot of issues with this .
    1st the R4i being a fake .

I have used an AK 2i in my DSL for many months now and I have not had any problems with anything. I would strongly recommend running the AKAIO firmware over the official one. The only thing that I had to do for playing a rom was to patch Mario and Luigi Bowsers inside Story; however everyone who wanted to play the game had to patch it. Otherwise, it is the best flash cart on the market today. I also know from experience that the cart works perfectly with the EZ 3in1 GBA expansion cart, with using the browser, rumble (I do not use that feature much), and of course loading GBA roms.

whats the big difference between afkio and the official one? Yes I know stupid question lol but I seriously have no clue, and I havn't had a reason to try akio since the official one seems to be working perfectly, but I herd akio is better, but i don't know why yet? can anyone please shed some light on this akio difference?

From my personal experiences, I think that the AKAIO firmware loads games faster and works better with the EZ 3in1 GBA cart compared with the official firmware.

It's a custom firmware not made by the Acekard team. http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?title=AKAIO
