about MDF files

I downloaded PSX Xenogears a while ago and it turned to a MDF,MDS file instead of the .BIN file. It doesn't work on epsxe, I dont know what to do.

please help.

 

Uhh, it should work as normal by using Load ISO, makes sure you use the version 1.7.0 of ePSXe

if you need to convert is, then you just need to get Isobuster, open the image file with the program, and then right click on the top-most disc image and hit extract from to...

just keep on hitting OK or whatever and it will extract it to CD Segment.iso

Don't change the title name until it's done or else it may corrupt the iso it's making.

But it should open if you use that. ^

 

Well i can play it by either choosing the .mdf or .mds (kinda forgot ) on load ISO though.

 

Chose the .mds image it will read of the .mdf , kind of like a cure

But i have no problems running an .mfd-mds images with my epsxe v1.7.0

I noticed not all mdf/mds files load...on epsxe.


Try using a virtual cd drive, and mounting the image.

Works for me and my odd copy of armoured core project phantasm which I got before I found romUlation.

 

Mabe its the way its rip't, I do mine from the original disc, with Alcohol 120% and select Datatype Play Station mode befor riping

 

Well that was how I got these files working before 1.7.0 came out.

Oh well, each to their own.

 

Why don't you just burn the game on a CD with Alcohol 120%. Or you could you the best burning software out there ImgBurn

 

Good option if you have a burner or blank cd's, this is what I use in emergencies.

 

Yeah it's the best option. Also you can use POWER ISO and split the file and convert it in ISO.

I still think just Load ISO and just choose the .mdf/.mdf files will work though, cause I have the Xenogear Roms from here and play it that way.

i also download jhon 591 rar. and the epsxe comes up fine and when i goto run the mdf. file of xenogears it go black and say no wgl. i just wanna play this game already!
