can anyone tell me what the bit/rate does?

i was guessing the better the bit rate, the bigger the file but the size is bigger too... but i think it didnt do anything with my first try...

also... anyone got a good or better editor to make minus ones? i got cool edit 2.0 but i cant seem to take out the vocals from the actual music itself... i want to create minus one's... you know... the kind with music on it but nobody is singing... XD thank you...

higher bitrate is better quality and bigger files. You can't use a bitrate higher than your source files.

Removing vocals is very difficult and can't usually be done very well (unless the vocals happen to be on a separate channel)

vocals can be removed but it takes a master with years of knowledge to do it so it is very unlikely you will be able to do it. best bet is get the karaoke versions of songs to have no vocals.
