I have a CycloDS Evolution and wondering, can you play DSi roms (dsi enchanced games, .DSi files) on the CycloDS or are DSi roms and DS roms the samething?
no they are not the same thing, and no cards can play DSi roms to my knowledge. DSi enhanced roms can be played minus the DSi specific features.
The CycloDS iEvo can play DSi-Enhanced games in DSi-Mode (with the DSi Specific Features). But not the CycloDS. The DSi-Enhanced game has to be properly dumped, and the CycloDS iEvo will tell you if it is not properly dumped when you try to start it in DSi Mode. I do not know if the CycloDS iEvo works with DS Exclusive games, but I know it works with DSi-Enhanced games.
okay, so Unless I have a DSi enabled flash cart, I will not be able to use any of the DSi enhanced features but I can still play it on my CycloDS, right? I just won't have any access to the features.
Yes, the CycloDS can play DSi-Enhanced games, without the DSi-Enhanced features of course. But you can't use the CycloDS on a DSi, only a DS Phat/Lite. If the DSi Enhanced game is .DSI, you need to rename it to .NDS
