A Witch's Tale Freezes

Hello everyone,

This is my first post on the forum so if it is in the wrong spot or not allowed, I apologize! I am posting because I am trying A Witch's Tale on my NDS and it freezes right after the initial dialogue. I suspect this is some anti-hack thing.

So, what can I do to get around this?

What flashcart are you using?

 

Oh, sorry. I realize I wasn't very informative! I'm using:

M3DS Real with M3 Sakura v1.42 on NDS Lite

 

Backup your files, format and reinstall the firmware files. Then try again.

 

I just installed the new firmware before putting this rom on.

 

Sometimes the MicroSD cards slow down, causing freezing issues. Did you format the card (helps speed it up) when you put the firmware on it?

 

works on pc perfect if you have problem use pc to play

 

This has ballooned in to a bigger problem. I backed up and formatted my card and then replaced the roms and system fold and now it won't boot... I can't get to the M3 interface now. I know it loads from the cart because it says M3 Real in the corner, but after that I just get a blank screen. What's going on? I tried replacing the system folder a second time but it doesn't work.

 

Sometimes when something like this happens to me i usually don't have the MicroSDHC card seated well.
Check that out and then if it still doesn't work just re-do the format.
Back up your files, format, install the Firmware, then copy on 1 or 2 games to test it out.

That's the only advice i can offer..

 

Ok, all is good! The M3 Sakura Firmware wasn't being friendly with me. I was able to run it once and never again so I am using the regular firmware which isn't as pretty, but at least I can play A Witch's Tale without it freezing!

I have the same problem after i start the game it says data
analyzed end then my screen turns black and the game freezes

I'm using R4 SDHC 4GB v1.26 R4SDHC kernel

 

ok, so I have the same problem as Fire_Ice
and I have original R4 with R4i v1.23 (don't ask how it's possible that soft from R4i works on my flashcard... when non other R4clone didn't...)
and it's the first game I have problems since I changed soft (Pokemon HG/SS worked fine!)
so... if someone knows how to bypass those two black screens - I would be gratefull
(do not write to pass in on emulator, and copy save! cause I won't... I want to play on my ds)

 

Try using firmware from http://r4li.com/ or use YSMenu.

just some hex or other solution

 

Mine keeps freezing too... It's a new thing though, I'm up to the castle in the first wold and it just freezes randomly... I just updated my firmware so hopefully that helps

 

I have the newest kernel (V1.26 R4 SDHC) the R4I kernel does not work
on my card. anst still i can't a witch tale to run my screens still goes black
after starting the game is the a patch of fix somewhere available on the net?

I've been searching already and found nothing yet
so if someone knows the solution I'm listening

 

I don't think it's a patchable issue... it might just be your firmware... I'm using and R4i and the most recent firmware from this site http://r4i-sdhc.com/aboute.asp

try that and let me know how it goes.

Entropickitty and the kernel will not work on my flashcard

so i can't play A witch tale yet

waiting and searching for a solution
