A trick for psx isos

I recently discovered a trick with storing psx isos on dvd disks without compromising speed. I burn several games on one dvd disc (usually 4-5 games per disk) I keep them in their iso format (usually .bin or .iso). Most psx emulators can read these files directly. When I load the games this way, I get a smooth play without any freezing. On cd's I was getting the usually loading freeze ups. It's as if the game is directly on the hard drive when you play it. Anyone tried this?

its still better from a hard disk because it can sustain a higher data transfer rate, not to mention the lower rotational latency of a hard disk

I think there is a high chance of you're DVD drive overheating if you are operating on a laptop.

hard drives are in constant spinning motion which makes it easy to have quick access to things. but cd's and other storage devices stop their spinning to prevent energy use and overheating.

I'll try it once with your caution in mind, I will definitely confirm this in the next few days because I definitely don't wanna a broken dvd drive
