I bought a PSP and it was already modded. Its software version is 5.50 GEN D3 and it's a PSP 1001 (phat). I was able to play Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops's UMD last night but then I reset the PSP options in system options. I went to play the game again and the game just froze on the PSP white screen. Ugh, I'm such an idiot. :-/ Can anyone help me figure this out? I'm kind of getting frustrated and I already looked on another forum but they didn't have a fix. Anyways, thanks for anyone who answers! Edit: Fixed it by restoring Memory Card and putting everything back in.
They gave me two UMD games. And I was wondering if they were working. I also tried to play ISO on the PSP but it just goes to the PSP white screen when I selected a game and then it just turns off by itself.
Press select at the menu and make sure your on m33 driver. If that doesn't work, go to reset system and hold down L while the PSP restarts. Make sure no UMD is selected under options. Then try to play the ISO off your memory stick without the UMD in the disk bay. Just revert back if it doesn't work. I highly suggest using firmware 5.00 m33-6 as it is the most stable CFW and supports about every known ISO/CSO. You might want to press select and try drivers other than m33 if you want to keep your current CFW.
You don't hold L on reset. You hold R. L is traditionally used to boot up a Pandora battery and install CFW on a PSP.
Update to prometheus, it supports games up to 6.20: http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=52896.0 It's around the top... Also, if you want to copy your PSP games and other go to #6
If you don't want to update, just use ISOTool to decrypt the game. - http://pspslimhacks.com/iso-tool-1-965-backup-umds-xmb-iso-launching-on-6-xx-hen/
