My R4i card has stopped working on my dsi. A message is displayed saying "An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for help troubleshooting." My dsi is version 1.3u
    please any help is appreciated..

Your DSi probably got updated to 1.4, I don't know R4i's very well, but I'm pretty sure there is a fix.

Hmm, I'll look around and see if any one else has had this problem.

All right, I was looking around and I remembered something. Sometimes my friends R4 stops working and the firmware somehow gets deleted.

To fix this I run a format and just reinstall the latest LinFox Domain firmware.

It's a pretty simple fix but I thought I would put it anyway because its saved my friends R4 abunch.
