A passive cooling solution?

I have an ASUS EN 8600 GT graphics card and i'm looking for a passive cooling solution, because the fan noise is too loud.

Can someone recommend me a cooler without active parts that would fit my card? I'm not overclocking it and Smartdoctor shows me a temp around 50-55 deg. Celsius at full load. I'd like to keep it that way.

I was considering an Accelero S2, but i'm not sure if i could fit it on my card.

you'll have difficulty keeping those temps with a passive cooler, they're not as effective as active cooling. Maybe the bearings on the fan are wearing out?. if the graphics card fan is loud enough to annoy you I'd suggest there is something wrong with it and an aftermarket active solution would be a lot quieter.

I didn't have much problems keeping those temps low with the Acc. S2 on a R1650Pro, but i guess this is a different situation.

Oh by the way i have the case on the table, because i always ended up kicking it when it was under my table.

Can you recommend an active solution then?

    Zalman are widely reccommended. http://www.zalman.co.kr/ENG/product/CategorySecond_Pic.asp?categoryname=Coolers&categorySecond=CAS2

    look up some reviews :)

As a general rule, copper transfers/disperses heat better than Aluminium, however it's heavier.
