someone knows where i can get information of processors. I want to knows if the intel core i7 is compatible with my pc, right now i have (2x) intel pentium d, but this is not engouh for the games that i like (GTA4 and FarCRY2) thanks
the maximum that your motherboard can support. for instance, i have a gigabyte p35 dsr3 motherboard and the maximum [the best] that the motherboard can handle would be a 45nm processor or in this case the penryn core 2 quads. of course it depends on rather intel would still support lga 775 and rather the northbridge is supported for future releases. pentium d's are aweful. they are hungry hot heads and sluggish as compared with the amd x2's.
hey i just find this: Manufacturer: Asus Motherboard Name: P5LP-LE HP/Compaq motherboard name: Leonite-GL8E In the next link there's more information about the motherboard also said about what kind of proccesor support please help me to choose the best for gaming. Thanks http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00864946&lc=en&cc=us
the most you can do best with that is a core 2 duo e6000 series, the 65nm dual core intel processors. they're pretty hard to find now other then going to ebay. the cause is the increase in 45nm production.
E6000 Core 2 Duo http://www.intel.com/buy/desktop/boxed-processor/embedded.htm?sSKU=BX80557E6600 Here you go. It's available at Amazon.. for 193 dollars.
if you live near a cex store, you can get one really cheap for less than 100 dollars. but they're used though.
