when a friend is in need of points and you really have to give him some lets say i have 200 points only and i want to download a 400 mb file i can just ask someone to give me 200 points.. and you can limit on how much one can give a day and such.
I was thinking about this. But I thought that many people would start topics saying if anyone can give them points. Which may be annoying and the mods would have to maybe move a lot of topics. If people don't post them in the correct areas.
Prehaps the ability to share points via pm isn't a bad idea. Though I personally wouldn't give my 8000 points away unless I got something out of it-that's my policy. I do admit I never use mine simply because I got most of what I wanted already... But for the other download hungry members, this could be useful-BUT it may add strain to servers to say...one favoured user who keeps getting all the points. Or someone might some sort of scam like "plz my points don't regenerate plz send som more I really want just one game, 50 points isn't too much right?" If it works on the streets-it may work here. Just saying what i think is all-wether or not it could happen here depends on how stupid smart the users are.
Not happening. it would just get abused. People would create loads of accounts and send all the free 500 starting points to one account.
As I saw the title of this topic, I offhand though of about twenty five different ways this could be abused. People selling their points, trading, even gambling. Too much to go wrong for it to ever work.
