a GEN emulator?

Hello, I have finally found 'shining in the darkness' for the Sega. I played this when I was a kid and want to play it again.

It's a GEN file and I have no idea what kind of emulator to use. I have VBA(visual boy advance) & R4 DS.
I assume however, that either of these won't play it.
Any help would be wonderful, thank you!

Then, you can most likely play it on jenesisDS, which is a Sega Genesis emulator for the DS.

If it is a Genesis/Mega Drive game, jenesisDS may be able to play it.
