ok, well from the determination from a couple from friends, they talked me into getting a different flashcart and i wanted to ask a few questions about this card: 1.) i would like to hear from anyone that has or had this card: http://realhotstuff.com/-c-124_111.html 2.) is there any firmware for this other than the official firmware (ex. YSmenu & Wood r4)
Have you already buy'ed it? If not i recoment you buy an Acekard(2i) Or if you want to play NDS & GBA games then buy an Supercard DSTWO There is certainly a great foundation to begin with. The DSTT is loaded with great features and should definitely be considered when purchasing your next flashcard (especially for the low price), but it needs some of the quirks cleared up before it can sit with the best. This review was written using TTMenu OS v1.07 unless otherwise stated. Pros: + Cheap + Great build quality + 100% download play support (from tested games) + Cheat system + Soft reset + DLDI auto-patching + SDHC compliant + Super fast game boot times + Games save directly to MicroSD not onboard chip + Game status icons + Easily skinnable + Clean GBA ROM support (with expansion pak) Cons: - 99.99% compatibility (Contra 4 fails to boot) - No file browser - No alphabetical sorting - Saves don't have seperate folder - Game list lags - Doesn't support multiple skins - GBA support isn't built into the OS
well the problem is, that i don't get much money and i decided to get another cheap one, since i haven't found too many cheap acekards, but with some of the cons i want to ask a few more questions and to clear something up since i might be running a little slow on this Cons: - 99.99% compatibility (Contra 4 fails to boot) *with this, i have no issue with this since i dont play that game - No file browser * so its not like R4, where you can select stuff? - No alphabetical sorting *this one i really don't care for since i use numbers at the beginning of my roms - Saves don't have separate folder * now with this, isn't R4 the same way? cause i have had no issues with this setup ^__^ - Game list lags * hmm, i noticed this with ysmenu sometimes but that really don't bother me - Doesn't support multiple skins * ok, is this for the official firmware or other firmware? - GBA support isn't built into the OS * ok, i don't use my DS for GBA stuff, im just picky about that also still didn't answer one of my questions, does this cart just have the official firmware or is it supported with other firmware Edit: ok, i got the DSTT in the mail today and i really would like to know the answer to my last question am i stuck with the official firmware or does it allow the other firmware?
should've looked around for an Acekard... DSTT is okay...but for a few extra bucks you can get a much better card in the acekard 2i Post Merge: [time]1278462715[/time] the only card that is better than the acekard is the dstwo..but not by much
