I stupidly download the WMP update. that means "verification of the autenticity of windows version... blah... blah... blah" now i can't use WMP i'm a bit lazy to download another media player but now i'm in the need of one.

Can anyone recommend a good one, who reads most formats of audio and video?, in advance, thanks for any help. ;D

    download the CCCP pack,
it includes the Media Player Classic Homecinema, it's a great one
the pack should also update all your codecs, so it's a plus ;)

    Use Winamp.

You can change it's skin. I have it as an speaker.

Winamp isn't the greatest for video playback, it lacks many codecs
but on the other hand, it's probably the best Music Player available

I use Winamp for audio, and Media Player Classic Home Cinema for video. I've also heard great things about VLC media player.

I prefer VLC to anything else, never had any problems with it... I guess it's because I really don't care for anime...

Winamp for audio, and K-Lite codec's with Media Player Classic HC for video...

It plays somewhat everything at audio files.
That's what I use, it works perfect.
Our school has problems with it: Cannot see episodes-text in the selection menu.

Media Player Classic can play almost any media file. I use it all the time for videos.
For music, I use Winamp, with a few modifications.
Here's a screenshot of my Winamp:

Yeah it does, hardsubs it can read, duh, but it can also do softsubs too.

I use VLC for all video playback and iTunes for playing music. Winamp is too... All over the place. + iTunes is the only thing that you can sync iPod Touches with.

it can read the old ones, but if you've tried watching the new releases from quality groups like SS-Eclipse or BSS, it won't work
