I was thinking of getting her a romance novel for her, but I'm not familar with any. Could anyone suggest a book under these "rules"?

    1. It must be a real love story, no sex at all.
    2. It's gotta be a paperback since she hates hardcovers.
    3. NO TWILIGHT.
    4. It must appeal to a 13 year old girl with a strong interest in character development and relationship.

My budget is around 40$, And needs to be available in Amazon UK.

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume

ma teacher made us read this during summer school, and I think your girlfriend would enjoy it...

The book is mainly about a girl growing up; from her period *thinks about something else to some other life lessons, with some religion involved...and no, it does not revolve around her period...
Although it sounds weird, the book was actually good (6/10 a passing grade) and I'm a guy, so I'm guessing shell like it...

You're a guy, which is exactly why she may not like it.

It creeps me out that you have a bookmark for "Books for 13 year old girls".

Yes, because having one for 13 year old boys would be more normal.

I mean it was not a bad book, but it's main focus was on girls 12-14.
It was weird reading aloud in class since it was really girl related material...

Whoah. I just realized that you're a dude. haha.

All thirteen year old girls in my school either don't know how to read or like Twilight.

The Time Traveller's Wife. I was crying at the end. It was so romantic.

Try Jodi Picoult. Some of her stories are romance-oriented, and the characters are very developed + emotional storyline + well-writen. The downside is that it doesn't center specifically on romance. Most of the time there are other serious plots to go with it.

Not all of them are romances though, some are also centered around family, so you might need to read the summary + ask the shop attendant. Nicholas Spark is another choice. I have A Walk to Remember, but I can't remember if there were any sex.
