There is no explaination what this patch is suppose to be fixing.
However, there's been reports saying it causes "SAVE FILE ERROR"
and FREEZE on LOADING.

using R4DS Original v.1.18. Didn't get any "error message".

Mine's using SanDisk 1Gb and 2Gb.

I tested it on all 3:
1. Main R4 Original kernel
2. YSMENU
3. Wood

 

I do have the 4Gb version of SanDisk, Kingston, and pqi (for sale in JPN only-got it there during 1 trip). But I can't use them since my cart is not SDHC compatible. I do have another cart but a very old version. Am testing it right now to add to the top post.

 

It was miss labeled by the uploader. I downloaded from there and it contain the correct rom.

Try using a clean (un-patched) copy.

You don't really need the patch.exe from Rudolph as far as I've tried (my cart is different - Using R4 Original and DSLinker). On the DSLinker, I didn't have to add Wood or YSMENU nor even patch it, it play fine all the way. But on R4, I've to add Wood or YSMENU, and am using the patched version in it.

I found the patch tool from Stevetry's topic page (Rudolph's official uploading partner) and from another person too (a Korean guy which I forgot his username). But both didn't mention what that patch is fixing. But using with the patch tool, some like I said in the spoiler on top had reported some "SAVE FILE ERROR".

I'm not sure if AceKard 2i can load WOOD or YSMENU. But if could, then try using WOOD v.1.19 or the DSTT Unofficial v.117a13rev69 I listed above. It will work using it. Retro's Latest DAT v.6.41 not yet have this game's database inside, so it won't load and either give black screen or freeze. Must use the rev69 version for TTDS/TTMENU/YSMENU users for now until Retro revise his Latest DAT.
