4 doesnt appear on ds lite

I have a ds lite and u recently bought a r4 off of someone on craigslist and ive tried darn near every fw and i cant get my ds to recognize it ive tried 1.11 1.16-1.18 havent tried wood ir any others. I dont think my r4s a clone as its an r4 for ds and dsl as it says if someone could help me that would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for any bad english doing this on my ipod rught now.

no its not sdhc but i have a normal sd card

 

Is your microSD card 2gb or less? Try formatting it and putting Wood on it.

 

its 2 gb and ive formatted like 30 times over with every file type that windows 7 lets me put on it and ill try wood right now

 

You formatted it with windows 7? That's your problem. Download the panasonic SD formatter (google it).

 

I've formatted with normal Windows formatting several times and have never had an issue with it.

What does it say on the card?
Like R4DS?
Or is it something else?

He's already stated what it says, but I feel like an important detail may be missing that separates this cart from the original.

 

idk bout all that but i took the pics of it tooken apart and everything too uploading them right now...

Maybe they misread it or maybe this is just a mystery cart.
I would advice not to buy a secondhand cart.
I give mine away when I go to another one.

That cart strikes me as odd for a few reasons:

Why is that sticker so loose? It looks like the original sticker was taken off and this was slapped on.
What is with that reader? That is not the reader I got with my R4.

I think you got swindled.

The only concern to me is the sticker like lucky said...

Or does the WoodR4 work?

Also, make sure the contact heads are free of debris and dirt.
If you have some alcohol, rub a TINY amount on a cutip and rub it on the cart head.

BE CAREFUL! NOT TOO MUCH!!!

i think theres some gunk between the heads lemme try cleaning it

naw that works too like when i plug it into my comp i see all the stuff there
