It most likely will work with your 3G USB Modem. Don't expect top-of-the-line wireless though. I can already imagine the unreliability and slow speeds of Mobile Broadband and a cheap WiFi Adapter giving you headaches later on. And yes, I see no reason why it wouldn't work for your XBOX 360 Slim.
but meh i used my laptop with an Ethernet cable before i had no problems, on xbox live but on ps3 OMFG ITS LIKE DOING A SNAIL!!!ITS SO LAGGY
