3DS XL Questions

    I am thinking about getting a 3DS XL the retro NES one. But a few questions:

    Is the controller picture on the top of the system painted on so that it could rub off or is it protected under a shiny glossy finish?

    And does this external battery pack work with the 3DS XL with out runining the XL's battery? : the Lepow Poki series 10000mah external battery pack?

    And what is a good usb cabel to use with the xl and battery pack?

    I don't think the 3ds charges via USB, in which case the battery pack isn't likely to work.

    the 3DS charges via USB cable connected to my computer. you can get the USB to 3DS charging cable easily.i do it for everyday charging. but never tried through power banks because i don't have one plus i am afraid it might ruin my 3DS.

    regarding the design, it's likely protected. i purchased the pikachu XL a while back, and even though i kept it in like a pouch that was really tight and made of old jean material, the design is still flawless, over 2 years after buying it
