3DS SD card help!

    Hi!
    My son has had an acekard for his DS Lite for a few years now. He's upgrading to a 3DS for Christmas. I've read a few places that acekard are slow at releasing updates for 3DS so I am considering buying an R4 card that I saw recommended on another thread. Can I transfer his SD card straight into the 3DS-compatible R4 card? Or is there something I need to do to it? Or would it just be easier to spend a little bit extra and get a new SD card?!

    you would have to delete the acekard firmware and put the correct R4 firmware on instead.
