3ds rom downloading issues

    hi yes when i go to romulation website it always times me out and ive removed pop us, removed so that cookies are allowed and also disabled firewall im using windows 10 with cortona but the browser i go to on is ms edge can somone please help as this is annoying

    try using a different browser? edge is just a renamed version of IE, which is a terrible excuse for a browser, well known for compatibility issues with sites that work perfectly in every other browser.

    Aside from using a different *cough* BETTER*cough* web browser (Chrome or Firefox, your choice), you should definitely use a download manager like Flashget to download 3DS ROMs since you're dealing with large files here and Download managers let you resume a download if ever you get a time out during your session.

    ive tried firefox never seems to download and for chrome when i go to download the rom it tells me a error i forget what but ill try today and post a screenshot

    can someone possibly add me on skype and look to see why its not working ive got flashget but have no idea on how to use it id really appreciate it ..

    its not that its difficult its my damn 500$ laptop i decide to buy without knowing the downfall of using windows 10 aside from my other laptop where i had 10/ and 7 on it at the same time but thanks ill try it and see what i come up with :)

    The issue is not how much your computer cost, nor what OS it runs. It must have something to do with your preferred browser setting (enable cookies), and/or how you are connected to the internet. Despite what been said, I've no issues downloading 3DS rom from here using both Edge and Chrome on Win10.

    i didnt say the issue was about what it cost and before this post i was told by someone else to enable cookies and disable firewall and smartscreen settings and ive downloaded roms via chrome but.. its put it as a .rar file and once downloaded its got a paper like icon i have no idea if thats needed to be changed or not this is where i got stuck

    ive also updated template file and all the other stuff its just the rom downloading part im having difficulties with

    well when i download a rom on edge it doesnt seem to wanna log me into romulation due to timming out hence why im with chrome

    1. Have you check the downloaded file size matches that of the rom's detail on its web page? Make sure they are, else that means it was partially downloaded.
    2. If the file size matches, make sure you have installed WINRAR (latest version preferred). Make sure to associate .RAR, .7z, .zip in the setting.
    3. Once you see the 'white sheet' icon changes to a '3 stacked books' icon that means you can extract the file. Do so.
    *I'm using Chrome. I think Seph was the one who informed you to activate Cookies under Internet Option sometimes ago... or was it to someone else he said that to.

    Note:
    He didn't at any time tells you to deactivate SmartScreen & Firewall. He says not to activate Adblocker or anything that blocks Cookies. That said, you need to make sure to "Don't Block Cookies" under your Advance Internet Settings.

    yeah it was him, and ive also done that in the begining and ended up no where ill figure it out later today i jus figure sharing screens and someone that had spare time to help someone that semi knows what their doing then gets stuck to help

    You'll have to ask the admin for assistance. But before that, can you disclose how you are connected to the internet. Cable or Wireless? If wireless, using broadband dongle or WIFI modem/router? Speed?

    Edit:

    Join us on SLACK (https://www.romulation.org/slack) if you want immediate respond from the Admins. They are there most of the time.

    im using a hotspot but its well enough to cover downloads and all that and oh i have to ask a admin before getting someone to help me ? hm okay and as far as info for it idk

    The admins will help you, they are the ones more knowledgeable on the matter. Again, if you missed my above information; you can join the site's SLACK Community : https://www.romulation.org/slack. The admins are there most of the time.

    But I think the issue lies in your 'hotspot' connectivity.

    Good, there's Seph at this time. Or you can talk to Loonylion who should be around in another couple of hours.

    Again, I'm suspecting your issue may well lie in the fact you're connected via wireless hotspot. Might be best you bring that up from the beginning to them. And indicate what the upload and download speed you're getting through that connection. Good luck.

    To open or rather, extract .rar archives you'll need to download and install WinRar found here:

    Also, even though the app suggests you to buy it, you don't actually need to do so as it'll still work fine regardless :)
